Run for Runner- 2017

‘Run for a Runner’ is one of its kind event to support an ardent athlete, Lokesh Waghmare, who lost his life in a tragic accident. We will run together to support his family.

Lokesh Waghmare, Age 19yrs, hailed from Vasai. He lived in a small home which could barely accommodate a family of 7 members. To support his family financially Lokesh quit college, and earned a living by working and running Marathons. He was a podium finisher.

His untimely death left behind a grieving and dependent family. His friends and other generous runners came together to help his family, that’s when the idea of ’ Run for a Runner’  was born, which will encourage other runners too to join in for this Nobel cause.

About the Venue:

The run is organised in Vasai as its Lokesh’s Hometown. Apart from that Vasai’s picturesque location makes it an awesome venue for a running event.

Monsoon in Vasai brings in super cool winds and greenery all around. The route is away from the hustle bustle of city traffic and residential spaces. It’s a long widening road with monsoon ponds on both sides and lush green hillocks in the background.

We assure you it will be an event to remember forever and a Nobel cause that will make you proud of yourself, an experience that you will cherish for a lifetime!
