Event Day:-
Assembly:
Please be at the Gurudwara junction by 5:45 AM.
Parking:
Parking is near Gurudwara or at extreme left of the road on which we will be running (only 200 metres from junction to be used for parking).
Photographs:
We will have volunteers to capture your good moments. So keep smiling and enjoy every moment. We will also have a group photograph at the beginning. So we will appreciate if you all assemble on time. In case you have the NMR tees, make sure you wear and proudly display it so that we have the NMR wave all over
Start Time:
We plan to start at 6:15 AM. The captain serves as the single point of contact for all matters.
Captain’s Role:
Coordination with the team members to ensure everybody is available on time and run according to the category / line-up they may be assigned.
Act as a single point of contact for the organizers when needed
Ensure all team members have paid their registration fees
Care for the team members during the run
Will be handed BIBs of all team members
Toilets:
There are toilets at the Gurudwara and also at Iskcon temple which is about 500-600 metres from the junction. In case you plan to use those, please be polite and quiet when you go there… these are places of worship anyway.
Instructions and General Guidelines:
Each Team will have 4 Bibs – A, B, C and D.
A will run first, then B, then C and then D. So please decide who will run which leg and wear the Bib accordingly. Ensure that the team members lined up are available on time.
Each team will be given a Baton (wooden dandiya stick ) and this will have to be passed by A to B after completing the 3 kms. The B’s will be standing 10 metres behind the As when they start. Once the As begin, the Bs will go and stand at start point waiting for the baton to be handed over. At that point in time, Cs will have to go and stand 10 metres behind the Bs and so on.
Ideally, kids should run early because they will get bored waiting for their turn. Also experienced runners can run when the sun will be out since they would be used to it during HM / FM races.
If you are pacing someone, then please follow these guidelines – B cannot pace A, C cannot pace B, D cannot pace C. This is to avoid confusion since Baton is to be handed over by A to B, B to C and C to D. All other combinations should be ok.
Kindly return the sticks to the volunteers after all team members finish.
Hydration:
There will be plain water available at the Start / Finish point and at the 1.5 km mark where you will be turning back.
Snacks:
Fruits will be available at start point during the runs.
Post run from around 8 AM onward, there will be South Indian breakfast served.
We request everyone to co-operate and maintain a queue in order to distribute smoothly.
The captains serve as a single point of contact.
Prizes:
There are no prizes but those of you who want to run hard, please go ahead All those running for the first time, remember to enjoy the experience – we will be there to cheer you all.
Come with a relaxed body & mind – We hope you have a memorable experience.
