  • Music – Understanding phrases and blocks, cueing techniques and guidelines. Music drills.

  • Energy Systems – Aerobic and Anaerobic systems and ATP production.

  • Aerobics exercise program – nature of aerobics, components of a balanced class, aerobics exercise, program design, physical program requirements for aerobics.

  • Aerobics class format-warm up, cardio respiratory phase and movement dynamics during aerobics.

  • Theory and principles of body conditioning- training principles, body alignment and posture.

  • Human Anatomy- Different body parts in body conditioning, origin, insertion and function of various muscle groups.

  • Theory of body conditioning teaching- training areas, progression, positions, contractions, exercise prescription, practical guides.

  • Stretching- Background, anatomical and physiological limitations on the body, stretching methods and guidelines.

  • Choreography- Core moves.

  • Injuries -Prevention, classification of injuries, importance of rest and recovery, contra-

  • Indicated exercises & injury management.

  • Flexibility-importance, factors affecting flexibility, types and physiology of stretching.

  • Special population-Exercise Program Design, diseases, exercise precautions and guidelines.

  • Nutrition and health screening.

 

Step Reebok Program

Step Reebok- introduction, Step Reebok platform and footwear selection.

Science of Step Reebok includes…

  • Step training research, physiological and biomechanical effects of stepping and body alignment.

  • Step Reebok technique- Segments of a step Reebok class, progression.

  • Step patterns- combinations and variations, creating step training patterns.

  • Power step Reebok-background, power terminology, music guidelines.

  • Basic Fitness testing
